My current research spans a wide range of topics and methodologies. Right now, I am working on an independent qualitative online ethnography investigating grief in video games. I am also working on a collaborative content analysis project analyzing video game player engagement with political discourse. I am continuing my work on romance in relation to video games and player experiences with multiple qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods projects. I am also working on tracing trends in toxicity among video game players. Finally, I have shifted some of my work on video game content to consider the increasing trend of genre blending, particularly in indie games.
